Cal has finished up his holidays and is now gone back to work for the first day. Thank goodness Mom is here to ease me into the world of doing this on my own. Of course, Baby JackJack has been an angel which makes it that much easier. We're very lucky to have such a good baby.
But, I miss Cal. He's been so great and such a help with Jack that it's going to be tough. Even just encouraging me to do my best no matter the situation has been so helpful. He's been great about supporting me when I turn into the bubbling brook - especially for a girl who never cries.
I'm sure it will get easier as we ease into our new life, but I just wish he could be here for all the new things that Jack will be seeing, learning and doing. Where's the lotto winnings when you need them?
Now I know that the traveling hippies knew what they were doing by just living day by day - taking life in as it comes. I wish we could just pack the family up and wander from place to place. Taking the time to enjoy one another and visiting new places. I'm sure it will be a while before we get ourselves out on a real travel adventure, but I can't wait to show Jack the world alongside his Daddy and sister.

Well, is that a Cal and a mini-Cal or what?!!! Wow, from that angle there's quite a resemblance! I'm sure Daddy was happy to get home after work and Mama was happy to see him. Nice that Gramma is still there. xoxoxo
